The full peer-review record associated with their manuscript includes peer-reviewer comments and author responses to reviewers and editors.
We will not disclose the identities of peer reviewers to the authors or readers unless the reviewers voluntarily share their identities. This is to avoid influencing potential high-quality reviewers' willingness to assess a paper. It is well known that open access publishing offers an efficient method for disseminating research findings, yet the article processing fees remain high and unaffordable for many authors, particularly younger researchers and authors from resource-poor countries.
SciTeMed Publishing Group charges $790 per article accepted for publication as a requirement associated with open access publishing. In an effort to reduce the burden of publication fees and to increase readership of scholarly texts, SciTeMed now offers an open access publishing option with a minimal fee of $99 for articles selected by SciTeMed's editors. The article processing fee is fully waived for all authors who are invited to submit papers. In certain circumstances, an author may be granted a waiver for their article processing fees, which range between 30-50%. It is not uncommon for authors from countries with low incomes or lower middle incomes to receive entire waivers when they request them.
